Overflowing GRATITUDE - Journal of our President, Robert Kalatschan
I am horrified and hurt by the fires in Calif. I can’t even begin to imagine!
We Spent few days in Hanoi meeting with Vietnamese govt. friends and families, important to keep relationships. They often are heads of the dept. that issue our licenses for work.
We were honored with a warm welcome and a Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit
Yet returning to Danang is returning to my second home. The Lunar New Year known as Tet is quickly approaching. We hosted a yearend party for those living in our homes to. Getting out of the van once again mobbed by the kids brought a flood of emotions!
The warm hugs I always receive.
The love these young show is clearly evident and overflowing! As tough as I may “think” I am (don’t laugh) there is no way to hide my emotions, tears do flow!
Group hugs abound! No matter how many ways I try to find words the love these kids express cannot be found. Not even close!
You can't find me because I'm lost in the joy of group hugs
And then… a young lady came to me, was told she lived at The Father’s House, our unwed mother’s homes 18 year’s ago! She began to weep thanking me. As did I. She introduced the beautiful sweet girl next to her, her daughter now a senior in high school. Mom told me if there was no GIBTK, she would not be….
Ba - the single mother we helped 18 years ago
After 18 years, this reunion brought tears to my eyes
Even as a type emotions begin to flood. Over 2 hours for her to come say thank you!
The once-little girl has now grown into a beautiful young woman
Another young man stepped up hugging and thanking. He was one of our recent graduates at Hal’s Home. Our college dorm for young men. He is now a ENT doctor!
Smiling big to show off the success of the braces GIBTK funded for him as well. His trip to say thanks was over 4 hours! Several others graduates joined in the hugs. Saying thank you for making a difference!
The boy has become a doctor with a confident smile
We gotta keep this thing called GIBTK going! No matter! We (this includes you!)are transforming lives for generations to come.
Once again, I was moved to tears, surrounded by these amazing children
Thank you for being GIBTK! Tell others about us, and please come and see, feel and experience the love and gratitude in person!
