His full name is Huynh Viet Trieu- Excellent student. He is 20 years old and has been previously helped with his studies at Dorothea's Project Legacy 1 when he was in grade 10. He comes from a poor family with two children. His father is a farmer but he has a severe open heart valve health problem now so he just stays at home for treatment, and is unable to go to work and earn money to raise his children. His mother is a preschool teacher, however this is not enough money to cover all of the costs of living and school fees for him. His mother will transfer work near home to take care of Trieu’s father. Currently, Trieu is a third year student at Da Nang University majoring in IT. With his hard circumstances, the Charity Association and GIBTKs agreed to help him move to Hal’s Home. He is a very good boy, excellent student, and is willing to help other boys. He has spent time helping Hung at Carmela’s home for his studying.

Nguyen Thi Thu Huong was funded a heart surgery by the donors from GIBTK in 2006. After that surgery, she has become a healthy young lady. She is a mother of 2 beautiful children and has an extremely happy home. Currently, Huong has a stable job and is in control of her life. Thanks to that surgery, Huong got where she is today. As of January 2022, GIBTK saved more than 1500 lives through the Heart Program. #gibtk #givingitbacktokids #heartsurgery

With the goal of supporting life skills, emotional health, and child care skills for single moms under 24 years old and taking care of children under 5 years old in the community, A Mother's Love program was started in 2016. To ensure effective learning their children will be taken care of by GIBTK volunteers during their studies. Therefore, they can study with peace of mind without worrying about bad things happening to their children. Here, single moms are equipped with the necessary knowledge related to raising and taking care of their children in the best way to ensure that their children can live as healthy and happy as other children of the same age.

With the desire to help more people have healthy thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and contribute to changing the lives of many people in a positive direction, Giving It Back To Kids started an Emotional Health program in 2012. Over the past 9 years, we have shared thousands of sessions with nearly 8000 beneficiaries, the children in our homes, elementary school students, middle school students, high school students, university students in the community, our house mothers, staff members, and the parents. The program has progressed to one-on-one counseling for those who need special help. They realize that life is too short to wallow in depression, disappointment, negative thoughts, and melancholy.

Young girl who are unwed mothers are usually being critised and has no choice! The Father's House is the home for unmarried single mothers under the age of 22 who are pregnant for the first time. It becomes a safe place for them to give birth and raise their children. Several months after giving birth, the mothers will return to school to study or take a vocational course in order to have secure employment and raise their child with dignity in the future. Until now, TFH has saved 88 babies and transform unwed mothers lives forever.

Marlene’s home is a home for girls under 18 years old. Giving It Back To Kids seeks out and qualifies extremely impoverished families living in shacks constructed of whatever materials the family can find, and in many cases have no house at all but are living with a friend or relative. The floors are usually dirt, the walls are so thin that the wind blows through, and the roof leaks. During the rainy season, October through December rainfall in many areas is 45-47 inches or more! All in all, it’s an unsatisfactory condition for the children. Giving It Back To Kids is able to construct a home for $4,800.00,including a toilet. Can you imagine the impact this can have on a family’s health and self worth, to be moved from a shack to a brick house with a concrete floor with a roof that does not leak? GIBTK has built 424 Houses Cost to build house $4,800.00 ea.
