Quynh’s Story: Fueled by Hope, Lifted by Love

?

Born in 2004, Quynh is the daughter in a family of six children living in difficult circumstances. Her parents work hard planting rice on a small piece of land—just enough to feed the family. Her father, due to his poor health, can no longer work as a mason. Instead, he stays home to do housework and help with the farm.

Quynh – the gentle girl with a dream to change her life

Despite the many challenges, Quynh has always been a good student. After finishing high school, she dreamed of going to university or college. But with her family’s financial hardship and the many costs involved, that dream seemed out of reach.

Just when hope was fading, a door opened. Quynh received incredible support from Giving It Back to the Kids (GIBTK), which brought her to the Lighthouse—a place for female students over 18 to live, study, and grow. And of course, she was able to pursue her dream at FPT Polytechnic College, majoring in Information Technology.

Surrounded by siblings who always strive together

Living at Lighthouse has changed her life. She found not only a safe and nurturing environment but also endless opportunities to develop herself. “I still remember the late nights studying, moments of feeling discouraged,” Quynh shares. “But I never gave up. I kept thinking of the values GIBTK taught me—perseverance, gratitude, and resilience.”

There, she was surrounded by people she calls her siblings—those who always encouraged and supported each other to grow and become better. Alongside precious lessons on mental health, leadership skills, and more, Quynh became more confident, grounded, and empowered to reach her full potential.

Now, Quynh is giving back. She actively participates in charity work, sharing her heart and helping connect with others in need—just like she once was. She is about to graduate from the college she’s been pursuing, promising a bright future where she can take care of herself and help support her family.

From the bottom of her heart, Quynh says thank you. Thank you, GIBTK, the donors for transforming her life. ????
