Born into a poor farming family, Ms. Le grew up in a small rural village. Her parents worked tirelessly in the fields to provide for their family, but money was always scarce. Despite their struggles, Le was a bright and hopeful girl, dreaming of a better future.
Le – a girl with a heart condition.
In her teenage years, Le’s life took a heartbreaking turn when she was diagnosed with a congenital heart condition. The news devastated her family. They knew the condition was life-threatening, but they didn’t have the resources to afford the surgery she desperately needed.

Le often cried—not because of her illness, but because she didn’t want her parents to bear the heavy burden of her medical expenses.
Fate smiled when GIBTK found her situation
Just as hope seemed out of reach, a miracle happened in 2012. Le’s family was introduced to Giving It Back to Kids (GIBTK), a compassionate organization dedicated to changing lives. Through the generosity of donors, GIBTK sponsored Le’s heart surgery. In March of that year, her life was transformed. The surgery was successful, and her recovery exceeded all expectations.
With a healthy heart, Le began to embrace life fully. Her strength allowed her to graduate from high school, though her attempt to pursue university studies was unsuccessful. In 2014, she worked briefly as an accountant before deciding to stay at home.
Le today lives a fulfilling life
In 2022, Le found happiness once again when she married a kind-hearted laborer. Though they don’t yet have children, Le’s days are filled with purpose. To support her family, she began selling cosmetics online from home, embracing the small victories in life.
Le often reflects on how different her life would have been without that life-saving surgery. She cherishes the opportunity to build a future, live healthily, and experience the joy of family. With gratitude in her heart, Le says, “If it weren’t for the donors and their support 12 years ago, I wouldn’t be here today, living this happy life.”
