Today's Journal from the a wonderful woman Christine Commins
I was SO looking forward to a return visit to Marlene and Vera's Girls Home, and when we arrived, I was so grateful that God had made it possible for us to see the girls and young women again... and Yes... there were more tears and hugs!
Christine shares meaningful words with the kids
I don't know if they were aware of how much it meant to us, but we loved things like the signs with our names that the girls had beautifully prepared, and many of them remembered our names from photos on their walls. I'm tearing up a little right now just realizing what I learned from them about what really matters...caring for others.
Warm embraces connect closely with the kids
We shared a lot of chatter, music, heartfelt worship, laughter, pizza, and ended with more hugs, and hopes of hearing more about the difference that the work of GIBTK makes in these precious lives.

I have wonderful memories now of our visit to the the New Hope Boys Home. This home houses 12 boys and young men with room for a few more yet. It was so sad to hear the awful stories of neglect and abuse suffered in their past. But even though the home has only been established less than a year, I could see in the boys' eyes, and I felt, that their lives are changing for good because of the love and practical intervention of GIBTK. Once again, I feel privileged and blessed to be able to help in my small way.

Robert Kalatschan had often said to us that the best way to connect with the work of GIBTK is to "Come and See!". Let me finish for now with a story of why this is so true!
Robert shares profoundly "Come and see
Whilst visiting the Boys Home one of the young men talked to Robert about a need for some money. It turned out that the money was not for him but to help one of the house Mothers acquire a new motor scooter as hers had become 'beyond repair'. Robert then shared the need with our group at dinner that night and before we left the Cafe, we were able to let him know that we could gladly cover the cost of a new scooter for the House Mum.
The house mum will receive a new scooter
?We would not have been able to help in this way if we had not 'Come and Seen'!!! We were so filled with genuine joy! So...if you can, "Come and See!".

I will write again soon with Larry about our life changing visit to beautiful Vietnam. Thanks for reading and God Bless!
