It's time

It's time

So…. Back in Cambodia. First day was in Phnom Penh, had a great meeting learning about trafficking. Then we moved on to Battambang where we spent with the girls in our homes there. To be honest it was draining but not for what you’d think. So much love and gratitude expressed and showed, much to me. Hard to take.
Our next day we went back to Poi Pet, a city at border of Cambodia and Thailand. There’s many Casinos and known by many as a funnel for trafficking kids from Cambodia to Thailand. It is here that many of our first girls came from when we first began our homes in Cambodia.
Poi Pet has changed but in many ways. As we walked deeper into the village, poverty was evident. Hannah who is volunteering with her husband Shane in Vietnam, mentioned i see a lot of kids 6 and under but only a couple over that age, and they were working…..
As I gazed past a short field, with what is supposed to be a fence was Thailand. My mind wandered a bit, asking myself what are the chances a young teen wander over to “the land of Opportunity” or should I say the perception of opportunity only to fall prey to untruth of traffickers.
Later that afternoon we met with a partner that A21 introduced us to. They spoke of such a need and her dream of having a home/dorm for boys! And that my friends were perhaps the main reason for this visit. On my heart has been an ache to open a home for vulnerable boys.
If led to pray, please do. If you know someone I/we should know or learn from please introduce us.
