Dream and Live Your Dreams!

Dream and Live Your Dreams!
Today's journal is about Nguyen Van Tam who grew up at Go Vap orphanage in Ho Chi Minh city.
?
Nguyen Van Tam was born in 2000 and he was abandoned at Children's Hospital 1 in Ho Chi Minh shortly after birth. He has lived in Go Vap Orphanage since 2001. He had a spinal cord hernia causing his legs to become paralyzed and needs to use a wheelchair. The wheelchair has been his feet for 22 years now. He can get in and out of wheelchair by himself and do his own activities.

He is passionate about studying Graphic Design as his major. He really wants to become a professional designer to create many beautiful design products, and most importantly he knows that having a job is the way to help him to have more confidence in his abilities and be more engaged in society.

After his long efforts, he was accepted to Nova college, majoring Graphic Design. He was very blessed to receive a full scholarship from LS and GIBTK. He graduated from Nova College with a major in graphic design on November 5, 2022. Thanks to your support for his education, he is now able to earn his own income, with a monthly salary of $220.

He would love to send a message of hope to those of who are in a similar situation like him. He wants them to know that they can dream, and they can work hard to live their dream. He feels like he is making a difference with those who do not believe that they could ever accomplish such goals. He thanks Laurie’s Scholars and GIBTK for making such a huge impact in his future and bringing him such happiness.

"We highly appreciate you and thank you for transforming lives"

Sincerely,
Camella and Bruce Binkley
