God's Will

God's Will

Today's journal is written by our extraordinary leader in Cambodia, Liem Leakhena.

Praising God for still allowing us to do His wills in Giving It Back To Kids. GIBTK is like my second family who has built me up as who I am today. We were thinking for what is special for this year that we have been accomplished, it is like a blink of an eye. Looking back to the old version of us, we aresure that for all what I have been crossing is God’s planning for my life. This year is full of temptation with things around us. It is the first year that we learnt to lead and work as team in Cambodia. We wereso excited and nervous at the same time because we used to work directly to the housemothers and now, we have a team.

First, I was worried about: How am I going to lead? How am I going to delegate the tasks? What are the best ways to serve our team of living out the core value, understanding and being relevant to themission and vision of GIBTK? It was not a good start at first, I was struggling to keep my team accountable and helping them to remove the block of their work. I was doubting with my leadership. I was afraid that I could not serve them to reach their great potential and goal. At the same time, I was so excited to build one another through these trials in our team. I am sure that everyone has their own uniqueness in their own area. Throughout those questions and doubt, and excitement, we startedreflecting our strength and weakness, put it into the paper and using all the training material from our leaders, listening to the podcast, advice from my mentor and reading books. Through many merciesfrom our leaders, we were able to grow through their building, training, learning and sharing. So, we started learning and sharing with one another through mistakes, encouragement, inspiration toward our goals.

At the end of this year, our girls and the team are growing emotionally, physically, and spiritually. All of our team are performing well with how we live out the vision and mission of Giving It Back to Kids. So, I am so honored to serve my team. We are still improving our aspirational value individually so we can serve better in each of our areas. We are looking forward to the next chapter for what is God’s will in each one of us in 2023. At the end of this years, we are able to bring six new girls in our home.

(six new girls)

Each of these girls has a different background. We are working to improve ourselves for serving them for the better future. Every time, we have a new girl in our home, it likes we are starting again from the beginning to help them adapt with the healthy culture in GIBTK. Excitingly, we stick to the vision and mission of giving it back to kids but coming up with a new strategy that allows each of them growing differently as who they are under the safe home. Everyday, we are growing better and healthier with a new resolution in every year.

Personally, I learn to appreciate more with many people who work and scarified behind my leadership in the team, and all of the girls in our home. I am so thankful for all your love, care and prayers for me. Thank you so much for joining us in many aspects of our future. Good things take time and patience will pay it back.

"We highly appreciate you and thank you for transforming lives"

Sincerely,

Camella and Bruce Binkley
