15 Years For A Life Transformed - Bich Ngoc’s Journey
Bich Ngoc’s Journey: A Life Transformed
?
Bich Ngoc was born in 1998 into a poor family with six children. She was the fifth child, growing up in a home full of love but lacking even the most basic necessities. Life was already hard, but it became even more difficult when her father passed away after a long battle with cancer. His death left Ngoc’s mother alone to care for six children while working in the fields to provide for them.
Ngoc, a thin and frail girl with a heart condition
Ngoc was born with a congenital heart disease, but her family’s poverty made treatment impossible. For 11 years, she grew weaker, and when doctors confirmed she needed urgent surgery, her mother was heartbroken—she couldn’t afford it. With no other choice, Ngoc had to wait as time ran out.
Fifteen years ago, the surgery completely changed her fate
Then, in January 2010, something incredible happened. GIBTK stepped in and gave Ngoc the gift of life by sponsoring her heart surgery. The operation changed everything. Ngoc’s health improved dramatically, and today, she is strong and healthy. Her doctor now confirms she no longer needs any medication, a miracle her family once only dreamed of.
Now, she is a healthy and passionate young woman
Ngoc’s journey has taken yet another beautiful turn. She is now engaged and will be getting married in December 2024. She works at a spa and has become a trainer, earning a stable income. In her free time, she runs a small online business selling OCOP (One Commune, One Product) goods, proving her determination to build a better future.
Phu has settled down and has a family filled with happiness
Her mother, once overwhelmed with worry, now beams with pride. Ngoc has grown into a strong, talented young woman—something that would not have been possible without the kindness of GIBTK and its generous donors. Thanks to their support, Ngoc was given not only a second chance at life but also the opportunity to dream, thrive, and inspire others.
