I’m way overdue in writing to you all. I’ve been in Asia for almost 2 weeks as I write this. My first week was casual meetings with our friends top VN official’s usually over a good meal and lots of laughter. There was a bit of exciting news and should be good exposure for GIBTK. A national tv, VTV4 channel in Vietnam. They are doing a story on us.

What has slowed me down in writing is I feel like I’ve written the same story before. But in truth when I did it was if anything an understatement.

Cambodia…. How can it be a guy like me, a pizza guy who fished a lot be so Blessed to be part of such a transformation in kids lives. Our boys home called New Hope Home is continuing to change and mature.

We’ve now got 11 now. Our more recent addition was part of the street gang, my boy Moses was from 11, 12 years olds. Funny when talking with them I mentioned “gangsta” they all perked up. These boys from horrific lives now not only being an opportunity but actually taking advantage of it. Our recently married leader Phirun is doing a fantastic job leading and connecting with these boys. Boys growing into real young men.

And our Marlene’s and Vera’s homes girls continue to bless me beyond words. The girls continue to grow in confidence and emotional health and healing. We’ve had 14 girls graduate college or university with another doing so this year. Many of these were high risk of being trafficked some even so.

I hesitated writing because there really is no way I could muster the words to begin to express what God's doing. Or stop wondering “How can it be?” that I get to part of something like this…. Yup those who know me already know a flood if emotion just hit me.

We have a program called the “Friendship program” we connect you with one of our kids to write to each other once a quarter. No cost. Also sponsorship is also available.. if interested please email or PM me.
