21 More Students Now Have Comprehensive Swimming Skills!
Additional 21 students have been equipped with comprehensive swimming skills!!.
Drowning is the second leading cause of death from accidental injuries in children. According to the report from the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, on average, about 2,000 children die from drowning in Vietnam each year. Currently, only about 8.63% of schools nationwide have swimming pools. And we absolutely do not want such unfortunate cases to happen to children, which is why GIBTK has its own swimming pool at Dorothea's Project Legacy.
Up to now, we have equipped 139 students with swimming skills in Hiep Duc District - a rural area in Quang Nam province, Vietnam.
Learning water safety skills not only helps individuals improve their physical health, elevate their mood, reduce stress but also protect themselves in danger.
Our swim lessons are a great way to prepare young swimmers to enjoy the water in a much safer way. And yeah! Many students registered to study this summer holiday.
