Thu was born in 2015 in Da Nang city. After birth, Thu grew up like other kids without any symptoms of a heart disease. The doctor said that if Thu did not have heart surgery, she would not live beyond her childhood. Given the seriousness of Thu's disease, it was necessary for her to undergo an operation, but her poor family could not afford it at the time. During this difficult period, the family sought help from GIBTK in 2016.
Thu's mom was overjoyed to tell us over the phone. She claimed that, as a result of the generous funding from donors, Thu's health has changed significantly. Thu is now in the third grade and is performing well in most of her classes. She actively participates in every class activity, frequently raising her hand when teachers ask questions. She consistently completes her schoolwork promptly and plans fresh lessons for the next day. Thu gave a powerful performance and dance on her commune's Vietnamese Children's Day. Additionally, she enjoys riding her bike around her neighborhood.
While Thu's father is a hired worker who works as needed, her mother is employed by an Electric Limited Company. The generosity of the donors has saved their daughter's life, and Thu's parents are profoundly grateful. They wish the donors happiness and good health.
