I hope and pray this letter finds you well or at least “ok.” Past few years have not been easy. Yet we persist!
GIBTK has continued the pursuit of transforming lives. I spoke some time ago about the Giant Redwood trees. Tall and mighty but have very shallow root systems. The thing about them is they grow close to each other with their roots intertwining with each other. So it has been with GIBTK. Thanks to so many intertwining with GIBTK we continue to grow and transform so many lives.
Marlene’s and Vera’s Home: The girls of our two girls homes in Cambodia!
This past year I learned about Palm Trees. Ever notice how many are thin and tall? They are often found in climates prone to Hurricanes and Typhoons. They too have shallow roots. But what keeps them from being blown over is they bend with the winds. When they bend they get stronger.
?We have all been hit with strong winds the past few years, many of you have been hit by hurricanes of life. Others by our changing world. Yet we stand, and yes not only survive but will be stronger!
Forgiveness and Healing
Our programs have continued to expand and grow. One area worth mentioning is we now have 5 Dorothea’s Project Legacies! Honestly am so often awe struck by the many lives that have been changed. I have most often spoke about Vietnam and it has come to my attention not enough being said on work in Cambodia.
Dorothea’s Project Legacy 5
Programs in Vietnam are phenomenal! Maturing and growing. Our work in Cambodia as well. We established two girl’s homes for high risk or trafficked girls about 11 years ago! Bringing about so many incredible life transformations. With so many stories of victory, I wish I there was room to write and tell you about today. One area I have sorta avoided. About 50% of kids trafficked are boys! Yet little is available for their healing. A few months ago, we opened our first boys home. It’s called New Hope Home!
New Hope Home
With all of you I look to continue to see the needs of so many deserving children’s lives changed. We also continue to look and learn about new “issues” in this quickly changing world that need our support in this quickly changing world.
