Ong Thi Binh Yen

I am Ong Thi Binh Yen. I was born in 1999 and grew up in a rural area of Da Nang city. I graduated from Da Nang University of Economics with a major in auditing. My family has 5 people: parents, younger brother, younger sister and me. My father used to work as an electrician before becoming a farmer, while my mother has been a dedicated employee at the local hospital. I heard stories that when my father was young, he excelled academically, but due to financial struggles and the chaos of war, he could only complete high school. Nonetheless, he still managed to tutor his peers to help them pass their university entrance exams. From a young age, my siblings and I were encouraged to pursue education, and thanks to our parents' guidance, we achieved numerous academic awards at the city level. My mother also came from a large, impoverished family and had taken on various manual labor jobs to support her family's needs, from collecting recyclables to harvesting rice and sewing garments. Despite the hardships, my parents worked tirelessly to provide the best for us, ensuring that we never had to worry about our basic needs.
