Consequently, I have been self- reliant since I was a child
When I was a child, I was frightened by experiencing patients’ awful pains or being in the hospital. It was a totally unforgettable time when my grandfather kept a firm hold in my hand and had a few final words with me when I was in grade 9. At that time, I was discontented with myself because I was unable to do anything for saving him, which helped me to be full of determination to overcome my terrible fear and pursue my present career in nursing. I am overjoyed and proud that I am able to take care and encourage people who suffer from disease, especially my family. When I was in my university, I was a willing participant in a lot of volunteering activities such as building homes, providing food, green holiday, and examining citizens in remote areas. Those activities might help unfortunate people to overcome their difficulties partly. These memorable experiences established my deep empathy and readiness of giving my help for children with disabilities who deserve a chance of getting love from other people. I began to realize that I was many times as lucky as disabled children and I questioned myself, “Why don’t I help many more unfortunate people?”
