3 25 14 Pandemonium

When Kristina and I visited Vietnam last summer, Robert and Tommy were in China and they met up with us in Cambodia. We were on our own during visits to the homes. At the light house and fathers house, God put a burden on my heart that July afternoon in 2013 to bring a group of women in to Vietnam and Cambodia.

The vision He gave me was work with, be relational, and have girl time with ALL the women in this organization! I remember the fear gripping me a while later as I heard, myself say..."Are you crazy. You're not a speaker or teacher!"

JUST A SMALL GATHERING AT THE AIRPORT

Then it was like God was saying, "Hey, I never said it was gonna be about you! I just want you to get them there!" Oh yeah, HE'S in charge!

When I was diagnosed with lung cancer in October, my 1st thought was that I might not be able to go on this March "Ladies" trip!

WELL, THAT DIDNT HAPPEN!

Our next stop was Da Nang airport! It is customary that we are greeted by the kids in our homes

As we exited the terminal, I felt like a movie star hounded by the paparazzi! Flashes were going off everywhere, hugs were abound, laughter surrounded all five of us, it was glorious pandemonium!

Housemothers so happy to see Dorothea looking so well!

It was really loud, happy and CRAZY! Talk about feeling loved! This was the biggest welcome I have EVER had! I was overwhelmed with emotion being greeted by our housemothers with tears of joy and relief in their eyes! Wow! Thank you God!

MARINA and ANH

The group of us, Camella, Marina, Honey, Kathie, myself and now our Linda,

Headed out to the Lighthouse the next morning to be with our college aged girls!

During our planning stages we decided to ask each group of ladies we'd be with to answer questions that THEY Were most concerned about. What a blessing to share with these hungry young ladies! We found the example of our own lives to be the most powerful tool in helping them understand their beauty and value! We shared about intimate issues, health issues, and careful use of social media.

KATHIE AND DIEP

I know God was in the room, directing our hearts and conversations! I know that my role in GIBTK is all about relation development and THIS IS IT! This was a home run! I felt like we answered some questions, calmed some fears, and encouraged some dreams! I got to admire my ladies leading and learning and start the plans for our part of transforming hearts here...theirs AND ours!

I love seeing my friend's intimate exchanges of love... Marina's never been here, but her instant love connections and laughter.....Kathie's mutual exchange of reconnection love with her sponsored child, Diep.......

MRS. HONEY WITH TRANG

Honey's easy, welcoming arms for her sponsored girls, Thao and Trang......The love and recognition of all the kids to Momma Camilla's loving Hugs.....Linda's knowing, loving way with each of these beauties she's really getting to know! God has filled my heart to the brim, I was emotional!

I look forward to sharing our hearts, hopes and prayers with the ladies of GIBTK over the next few days. My heart is full of anticipation for what God has for all of us!

Stay tuned for some great, great stories! Don't change that dial, folks!

Love to you,

Dorothea
