Lanh Essa

My name is Lanh Essa. I am 22 years old. I want to be a teacher. I was a girl who had lived far from my family since I was about 6 years old until I was 11 years old. Every day, I was bitten by relatives, humiliated by classmates, and felt abandoned. In 2012, I moved out of my relative's home. I initially came to GIBTK in 2012 when I was 12 years old. My parents and I started knowing this place through a pastor who visited the village once a week. My parents then asked whether I could live in Giving It Back To Kids.

The Lord has provided me with this wonderful opportunity. First, I refused to come here because I was afraid, I would end up finding myself in the same situation as I live with my relatives. Despite this, I received love that healed every wound in my life. Furthermore, I had developed a solid foundation when God revealed all I had gone through in the past. It helped shape who I am now. I could use my experience to inspire many of the girls who live with me at home. Now I have been living here for 11 years, also undertaking English literature for the second year, semester 2 in 2023.
For many years that I have lived and from what I have learned in this class. It reflect my passion in sharing my life for helping others people. I want to see many girls get the opportunity to be transformed in their lives, dreams, and giving back to their community and families like I did. Thank you Giving It Back To Kids and supporter for such an opportunity to transform my life and future. Also, I had a chance to use what I have to give back to my country and community. Thank you for the opportunity to be part our this awesome team.
