Ho Thi Minh Thoa

My full name is Ho Thi Minh Thoa. I was born in 1992. My family consists of eight individuals, including my parents. Due to the old traditional culture in Vietnam, parents always want to have a son, and this is also the case in my family. My parents had five girls and one son. They had to work really hard every day to raise all of my siblings. To be honest, we were in financial problems for many years. Nonetheless, my parents went to great lengths to send all of us to university. We have been extremely fortunate and grateful to my parents for everything they have done for us.
I truly love working here.
When I graduated from university, I had no idea what my true passion was or who I wanted to become. I didn't know I was seeking for an NGO until I learned about GIBTK, which does a lot for impoverished children in central Vietnam. And I joined GIBTK in June of 2015. Now I work as a home leader for Lighthouse, a beloved home that helps female students in continuing their education, pursuing their aspirations, and living a better life. It is also my great honor to provide and benefit our house mothers from five GIBTK homes and another orphanage with knowledge about Emotional Health program.
Every member of the team has the same goal, enthusiasm, sympathy, and dedication to children. I appreciate my coworkers and consider it as my second healthy home. The mission, vision, and culture of GIBTK have left an indelible influence on me. GIBTK has transformed my life, and now I can help to transform the lives of others. I truly love working here. It goes without saying that today's children can make the world a better place for future generations. Every child should have the chance to go to school, play, be treated with respect, be heard, understood, and loved. They are deserving of the finest in life. With all of this, I wish to devote myself to impoverished children so that they can have better lives, with the abiding optimism that this world will always be a good place for them.
