Nguyen Thi Thu Huong

I have worked for the GIBTK organization since September 2013. In working for GIBTK I have an opportunity to help children and I can improve my English. I grew up in a poor family so I can deeply understand the difficulties and disadvantages that kids of poor families face in life. I was born in 1991, I was born in a family of four people which included my parents, my younger brother and me. When I was child, my family had many difficulties. My farther had an accident and became blind in one eye. My mother worked hard to take care of my family for many years. However, my mother didn’t earn enough money for me to go to school.
My dream is to work for an organization so I can help other children
I was very lucky to live in Hai Chau home where I had good conditions to study and made many good memories there. After I had completed all high school education programs, GIBTK organization helped me continue my studies at Duy Tan University. The Organization gave me a new opportunity to continue my education by living in the Lighthouse. My life in the Lighthouse home is very good. All the students there are interested in and take care of each other like sisters and we live in a friendly and harmonious environment. I feel safe, comfortable and full of happiness. For me, Lighthouse and Hai Chau Home are my second homes where there is a lot of love and smiles and a place of good conditions to learn and play.
I was helped in so many ways by GIBTK, so my dream is to work for an organization so I can help other children, especially disadvantaged kids. I really love this job because it is very meaningful to me. I have known Robert for a long time and in my heart, he is a wonderful father of the kids in the organization. He gave us an unconditional love. I am so very grateful to him and I want to say, “Thank you for everything he has done for my life”. I dreamed of a job that could bring me opportunities to help disadvantaged children. I am so happy when my dream became reality because I am working for GIBTK. It's not only my job, but also my passion. I love the GIBTK organization.
