Tong Thi Thanh Tam
I'm Tong Thi Thanh Tam, born in 1980. I am married but no children. I graduated from The University of Foreign Language - Da Nang University in 2003. I have worked for Giving It Back to Kids since Jun 2006. I am now Vice President of Giving It Back to Kids. It has been God’s call to be with Giving It Back to Kids to transform children’s lives. Seeing lives changed has inspired me to work each day. Every new day is an opportunity to help.

Growing up in a very poor family in the countryside, I experienced a lot of hardship in life. I even wanted to quit school when I was in my 2nd year at university because of poverty. However, thanks to my parents’ encouragement, I could continue my education and got my university degree.
It was a special opportunity my family gave me. I totally understand challenges and disadvantages that kids from poor families have to face in life. Many kids have gone through what I went through but did not get an opportunity as I did. I love doing what I am doing at GIBTK. It is my passion and my calling to bring opportunity to underprivileged kids because every child deserve a chance.
